Open About Windows dialog in Windows 7

The About Windows dialog is a dialog that tells about the Windows version you are running, the registered username and the the registered organization. You can open this About Windows dialog box in many ways as described below :

Method 1

1. Open Run dialog by pressing Windows Key + R.
2. Type winver in the Run dialog and press Enter

Method 2

1. Open any folder on your hard disk.
2. Press the Alt key once. You would see a menu appear in the Windows Explorer.

   

3. In the menu, select Help → About Windows.
