You have bookmarked dozens of web sites but you can access these bookmarks only from your own PC. What if you are at a friend’s house or away from your home enjoying vacations? How would you access your favorite sites that you bookmarked? One solution is to make a free homepage and put the links of your bookmarked web sites on it. But it needs a little knowledge of HTML. If you do not want to go into coding and making a web page, then you can use any of the following bookmarking services :
Yahoo! Bookmarks
Yahoo! Bookmarks is a very interactive and user friendly bookmarking web site. Just visit http://bookmarks.yahoo.com/ and log in using your Yahoo! credentials. You can use the same username and password as you use for Yahoo! Mail. You would see a screen as shown below :
Click on the Add button, a form will roll down. Enter the details of your bookmark in this and click on Save button to save the bookmarks. If you entered wrong details you, can edit a bookmark by clicking on the Edit button. You can create folders for separate categories of web sites.
Google Bookmarks
Google Bookmarks is a bookmarking site from Google. Using it is very simple. Just visit https://www.google.com/bookmarks and log in using your Google credentials. Click on the Add Bookmark on bottom left as shown.
After filling in the information of the bookmark click on Add Bookmark button and you are done. You can sort, search and export your bookmarks. You can even use an addon for Firefox browser for using Google Bookmarks.
There are many other services for online bookmarking of your favorite sites but the above two — I found are the best of them.
