Disable Remote Assistance in Windows XP

  1. Press the keyboard combination Windows logo key + Pause to bring up the System Properties window. Alternatively, you can right click on the My Computer icon and select Properties from the right click menu.
  2. In the System Properties window, select the Remote tab.
  3. Then un-check the checkbox labeled Allow Remote Assistance invitations to be sent from this computer as shown,

  4. Click OK to save the settings.
