Windows Vista shows large desktop icons by default unlike its predecessors like Windows XP or Windows 2000. But you can change the size of the desktop icons back to small or medium size if you want. Here is how :
- Right click anywhere on an empty area on your Windows desktop.
- From the right click menu, select View → Classic Icons
- This would change the desktop icons size to small icons like in those in Windows XP desktop. If you want to make the desktop icons size not so small but medium size, then from the right click menu, select View → Medium Icons
