- Open the Internet Explorer browser. Click on the gears like icon on the top-right corner and select Internet Options from the drop-down menu.
- In the Internet Options window, select the Connections tab and click on the LAN settings button.
- Un-check the checkbox labeled Use a proxy server for your LAN. Then click the OK button to save the settings.
- Restart the Internet Explorer for the changes to take effect.
You can also download the registry entries file to disable the proxy servers in Internet Explorer. Just download the registry entries file disable_proxy_internet_explorer.zip. Extract the contents of the ZIP file to a folder. Then double-click on the disable_proxy_internet_explorer.reg and choose Yes when asked.
