How to Add Videos Link to the Start Menu in Windows 7

Windows 7 Start Menu is an improved edition of the Start Menu that earlier versions of Windows had. The most remarkable feature in it is its search feature using which you can search for any program on your computer. It contains links to your most used folders like Documents, Pictures, Music and your Home folder. But it does not contain any link to your Videos folder. If you are missing the Videos link, then here is how you can add a link to your Videos folder in the start menu :

  1. Right-click on the Start Menu (the blue orb in the bottom-left corner of your screen) and select Properties from the context-menu.

  2. In the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window that appears, choose the Start Menu tab and then click on the Customize button as shown.

  3. In the Customize Start Menu window, scroll down to the bottom and under the Videos section, choose Display as link as shown. You can also choose it to display as a menu so that it would show subfolders and files when you hover your mouse pointer over it.

  4. Click OK twice to close the open windows and save the settings. Now if you open the Start Menu, you would see the Videos link clicking on which your Videos folder would be opened.
