With London Olypics games going on, you often want to check up on the scores of various sports persons or sports teams from time to time. You can do this the old fashioned way by looking up the sports in the Google and jumping from one site to another. But a Firefox extension called 365 Scores Notifier makes it very easy to get the latest scores of your favorite sports in Firefox.
365 Scores Notifier is a free and a helpful extension for all the sports fans who that want to be able to get sports related information easily in their browser. This extension changes the way you consume sports related information. It can fetch you head-to-head statistics, real time coverage, betting stats and more. It supports many sports like hockey, football, soccer, baseball, tennis, handball, volleyball and more.
After installing the extension and restarting Firefox, you would be shown a preferences wizard to setup 365 Scores Notifier. In the first step of this wizard, you have to choose teams. Just type the search terms and click on the Search button. Then select one or more teams from the search results. When you have added all your favorite teams, you can click the Next button.
Similarly, you can add leagues in the second step of the wizard. The process is similar to adding the teams. In the third step of the wizard, you can review the teams and leagues you have selected. Here you can remove the teams or leagues if you want. You are also given options to add more teams and leagues. Click on the Finish button to save your preferences.
Now the live scores, news, RSS feed and more are displayed in the add-on bar at the bottom of Firefox window. If the add-on bar is not visible in your Firefox window, then you can press the hotkey Ctrl + / to make it visible. If you click on the LIVE button in the 365 Scores Notifier icon in the add-on bar, then it would show all the scores for the recent and currently being played matches of the teams you have selected. Clicking on a score would open a detailed score window.
In the settings window for 365 Scores Notifier extension, you can set various options like playing sounds, showing news, game display mode, notifications and preferences. Here you can add more teams and leagues (competetions) if you want. You can also choose the actions like playing a sound on an event in a game. For example, it can play the “crowd” sound during a “run” event in the baseball match.
