How to Remove Mobile Phone from Your Twitter Account

Twitter has become one of most popular microblogging services. You can use it through its website in your web browser, through smartphone apps and through SMS (text messages). For using Twitter through your text messages, you need to add your mobile number to your Twitter account. 1. It doesn’t “immediately” remove the phone. I don’t know how long it might take, or even if it ever really frees the number. At any rate, an hour later I still get the message that the phone is connected and because I stupidly put in a different number I won’t be able to use that one either. The sensible thing would be for Twitter NOT to demand a phone at all. Not everyone has a mobile phone or can afford one – it’s a form of discrimination by income, and I find it not only frustrating but disgusting.
