Apple announced the release of iPhone 6 in a highly awaited and anticipated event on the 9th of September, 2014. But everybody was surprised in the end of the event when the popular band U2 performed the new single from their brand new album. Apple declared that U2’s latest music album “Songs of Innocence” will be free for all the iTunes users all across the world. So if you have an iTunes account, then you can freely download the whole album into your iTunes library. The offer is valid both for the iTunes PC users as well as the iTunes users over iPhone and iPod. This offer will stay valid until the 13th October, 2014.
If you access iTunes in your iPhone/iPad then you can just visit your iTunes library section and it should be there already. But if you do not find it there, then you can search for “U2 Songs of Innocence” and choose the new U2 album. Then you would be able to add the album to your library.
In the iTunes application for Mac or PC, you have to search the Apple store for the album “U2 – Songs of Innocence” and select the new album. The album them can be added directly to your iTunes library. You cannot listen to individual songs or add only individual songs. You will be able to access the complete album containing eleven songs only once it has been added to your iTunes library.
If you do not have any Apple account, then you can download the iTunes for Mac or Windows and create an account within next three or four weeks. Although Apple does not charge your card, but account activation requires that you supply Apple with your credit card information.
