We have posted about F-Secure Booster App for Android before, but now F-Secure Labs have come up with a PC version of the tool. F-Secure Booster for PC does pretty much the same as it does for the Android devices – it cleans and optimizes the Windows PC to improve its overall performance. In short, it can clean the left over or unnecessary files, cleans and optimizes the Windows registry, saved the power by modifying Windows power settings, securely deletes the contents of the Recycle Bin, optimizes Windows services, updates drivers and applications to name a few.
After the installation of F-Secure Booster in your PC, you can launch it from its desktop shortcut. As soon as it is launched, it starts to scan your system for all the possible reasons that could be making your system slow and sluggish. The process may take more than ten minutes, so you may switch to other things in the meantime. In the end, it displays a summary or overview of all the issues that need your attention and fixing up.
F-Secure Booster for PC comes with three main features sets – clean, speed-up and update – each of these feature sets contain multiple tools and settings. In the free version, you can only use the Clean feature set to clean your computer off unnecessary files. In the paid version, you can also use the Speed-up and Update.
In the Clean section, you are given an option to either optimize the PC automatically (which can be done by clicking on the Optimize button on the top) or manually go through individual items that need your attention. For example, you can manually choose which of the unnecessary files are to be deleted, whether you want to cleanup Windows registry etc.
