Google Nik Collection is one of most sought after set of photography tools designed for Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Elements and Adobe Lightroom. Until recently this collection was commercially sold in about USD 150, but now Google has made the entire Google Nik Collection absolutely free for everyone. If you have any of the aforementioned Adobe software installed on your Windows PC or Mac, then you can just download the full set of Google Nik Collection and install it for free.
The download packages for both Windows and Mac are available differently. The download size for both is around 500 gigabytes. After you have installed the collection, you can launch your favorite supported Adobe application and start using the tools for making your pictures look much more stunning than before.
The Google Nik Collection includes seven tools:
- Analog Efex Pro – This tool is for that nostalgic look and feel induced by the classic, analog, color cameras, films and lenses of the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s.
- Color Efex Pro – This contains a large set of Photoshop filters for bringing out the vividness of the colors in your pictures. It has everything you would ever need from color correction and retouching to creative effects.
- Silver Efex Pro – Black and white photographs have a charm of their own. You can instantly master the art of black-and-white photography with darkroom-inspired controls using this tool.
- Viveza – This tool is a time saver if you have to selectively adjust the color and tonality of your images and you do not have to use one of those complicated masks or selections.
- HDR Efex Pro – If you have an HDR ready camera, then you must use this tool. You cannot perhaps get the full potential of the HDR photography without this whether it is natural or artistic photography.
- Sharpener Pro – This is used to sharpen or selectively sharpen and reveal otherwise hidden details in your photographs. Great for natural light photography when some of the areas stay dimly lit.
