Disable All Notifications in Google Chrome Browser

These days so many websites ask you if you would like to receive notifications from them. Some of the websites are so annoying that they keep pestering with you the request every time you click on any of their links. This can drive anyone insane after a short time. Even if you manage to block the website from asking you in the future, there are thousands of other websites that will also bombard you with the same type requests. If you do not want to get any of the notifications from any sites then you can disable the notifications altogether in the Google Chrome web browser in the following manner :

  1. Launch Chrome web browser, type chrome://settings/content in the address bar and press Enter.
  2. Scroll down in the settings that open and click on the Notifications.Chrome Disable Notifications
  3. You will see a list of blocked websites and a list of allowed sites. You can click on the Ask before sending flip switch to turn it off. The label of the switch should become Blocked after this.Chrome Disable Notifications
  4. Now you will no longer receive any notification requests when you visit any of the websites.

The option can be reset back to the default value using the same steps and setting it to “Ask before sending” in case you wish to start receiving these notifications in the future. Even in that case you can choose to block sites using a regular expression string. But the method mentioned above is much simpler and easy to use.

  1. Does this concern YouTube notifications too? I use google now to search. Cannot recall them asking if ok for notification. Am not tech savvy.
