Associate MHT files with Opera

A MHT file is a web archive file used to save everything on a web page into a single file (MHT file). By default it opens with Internet Explorer, but you can associate it with Opera browser which is much faster and more secure as compared to Internet Explorer. To associate MHT files with Opera follow these steps :
On Windows Vista / 7:- Open Opera.
- Go to Tools • Preferences. Alternatively, You can also press Ctrl + F12.
- In the Preferences window, select section Advanced · Programs in the left and click on Details button on right as shown in the picture below :

- This would open a Set association window. In the window select mht in the list so that the checkbox is checked and click Save as shown in the following window :

- Thats it. Now MHT files are associated with Opera browser. You can double-click on any MHT file to open it in Opera.
On Windows XP :
- Right-click on any MHT file and select Properties.
- In the Properties dialog click on button labeled Change as shown

- Previous step would result in opening an Open with dialog window. In the Open with select Opera Internet Browser and click OK as shown

- Thats it. Now MHT files are associated with Opera browser. You can double-click on any MHT file to open it in Opera.
