Delete Microsoft Silverlight Application Storage

This page was last updated on April 02, 2011

Microsoft Silverlight based web applications can use application storage for many purposes. They can store small data files (like custom settings), and large files for applications that have graphically intensive features (like games, maps, and images). Silverlight based applications can also use application storage for saving user-generated content. If you want, you can delete this application storage. This is how :

  1. Open Microsoft Silverlight settings. You can open a website with Silverlight application, for example, http://www.silverlight.net/showcase/. Right-click on any Silverlight based application and select Silverlight. Alternatively, you can also open Silverlight settings from Start Menu → All Programs → Microsoft Silverlight.

  2. Select Application Storage tab in the Silverlight settings. This tab shows the web sites, current storage and the quota of application storage for each web site.

  3. If you are no longer running Silverlight based applications from one of the Web sites, select the site in the list and click Delete to remove that Web site's data from your computer. Click Delete all to remove the stored data of all the Web sites in the list.
