Reset tcp ip stack in Windows

Windows' TCP/IP stack can become corrupted for many reasons - one of them being a malware infection. TCP/IP stack is the built-in instructions set in your computer. If you cannot connect to the Internet and you have tried all other methods to resolve the problem, TCP/IP might be causing it. Here is a way how you can rest TCP/IP stack manually :

  1. In Windows XP, open Start Menu • Run, type cmd and press Enter. If you are using Windows Vista, click Start, in seach box type cmd, right-click on cmd.exe and select Run as administrator.
  2. In the command-prompt window, type or copy/paste : netsh int ip reset c:esetlog.txt and press Enter.
  3. Restart your computer.
