Set a browser as your default browser
If you have installed more than one web browser on your computer you can set any one of them as your default browser. This article details how to set Internet Explorer, Opera and Firefox and Chrome as your default browser. But instructions are same for any other browsers.
Internet Explorer
- Open Internet Explorer
- From the right side menu, select Tools → Internet Options
- In the Internet Options select the Programs tab.
- Click on the Make Default button as shown.

Mozilla Firefox
- Open Mozilla Firefox
- From the menu, select Tools → Options
- In the Options dialog, select Advanced. Then select the General tab.
- Click on the Check Now button as shown.

Google Chrome
- Open Google Chrome
- Click on the small wrench like icon on the top-right. From the menu, select Options
- In the Google Chrome Options dialog, select the Basics tab.
- Click on the Make Google Chrome my default browser button as shown.

Opera
- Open Opera
- Click on the red Opera icon on the top-left. From the menu, select Settings → Preferences
- In the Preferences dialog, select the Advanced tab.
- Click on the Details button as shown.

- Check the Select All checkbox and click on the Save button as shown.
