Turn off suggested sites in Internet Explorer 8

Internet Explorer 8 comes with a feature - Suggested Sites. When you visit a web site, its information is sent to Microsoft servers and they bring you a list if similar sites. This can pause a risk to the privacy of the user. Here is a way to turn off Suggested Sites in Internet Explorer :

  1. Run Internet Explorer.
  2. From the menubar select Tools → Internet Options as shown,
  3. Select the Advanced tab in the Internet Options window.
  4. Scroll down and under the Browsing section, un-check Enable Suggested Sites as shown,
  5. Click the OK button to save the options.
