Disable Windows Splash Screen on Boot in Windows 7

When you start your Windows based computer, you see a Windows logo while Windows boots. This splash screen can lengthen the boot up time for a few seconds. If you do not like to see this splash screen when Windows is booting and want to make the booting process a little faster, then you can disable this splash screen. Here is how :

  1. Press the keyboard shortcut Windows logo key + R to open the Run dialog.
  2. In the Run dialog, type msconfig and press Enter key.

  3. In the System Configuration window, select the Boot tab. Then check the checkbox labeled No Gui Boot as shown.

  4. Finally, click OK to save the settings. Next time you boot into windows, you will not see any splash screen.
