Exit Explorer easily in Windows Vista

Sometimes when you want to kill Explorer.exe, you run and start Task Manager, find Explorer.exe and kill it. But there is a much easier way to terminate Explorer instances in Windows Vista. Here is how you can kill Explorer instances easily :

  1. Press the Windows logo key on your keyboard to open to Start Menu. Alternatively, you can also click the Start Menu orb.
  2. Press the key combination Ctrl + Shift and while pressing these keys, right click on the Lock icon as shown
  3. From the pop up menu choose Exit Explorer and all the Explorer windows will be terminated.
