Windows Vista has a System Restore feature which can be used to restore your computer back to a specified point of time. Every time you install something, it creates a restore point. System Restore makes it easy to roll back changes made by a software installation. Here is how you can manually create a System Restore point in Windows Vista :
- Press the key combination Windows logo key + R to open the Run dialog.
- Type SystemPropertiesProtection.exe in the Run dialog and press Enter.
- In the System Properties window select the System Protection tab if not already selected.
- Click on the Create button as shown
- Type the description of the restore point in the dialog box that pops up and click Create.
- When Windows finishes creating the restore point, you will see a dialog box informing you that a restore point was successfully created.
