When you start your Windows based computer, you see a Windows logo while Windows boots. This splash screen can lengthen the boot up time for a few seconds. If you do not like to see this splash screen when Windows is booting and want to make the booting process a little faster, then you can disable this splash screen. Here is how :
- Press the keyboard shortcut Windows logo key + R to open the Run dialog.
- In the Run dialog, type msconfig and press Enter key.
- In the System Configuration window, select the Boot tab. Then check the checkbox labeled No Gui Boot as shown.
- Finally, click OK to save the settings. Next time you boot into windows, you will not see any splash screen.
