Once installed, it monitors all the processes, files and registry entries. As soon as it detects any suspicious files, it quickly quarantines it. Upon detection of a malicious file, it displays the notification in the system tray area. But if you do not want to quarantine these malicious files, then you can make changes in the program’s settings and choose to delete the suspicious files instead. In the settings, you can turn on cloud protection to enable protection from zero-day threats.

MalwareFox AntiMalware is fully functional only for 15 days. Afterwards, it turns into a free but limited version which does not allow protection from ransomware or from zero-day threats.

  1. You should update the information on this page, as after the 15 day trial period, MalwareFox no longer works and you have to buy it to continue using it.

MalwareFox is a rebrand of Zemana AntiMalware and there is a completely free version of Zemana. However, MalwareFox arguably works better than Zemana as it a rebrand of v2 of Zemana. The v3 releases of Zemana have a new scan engine, which does not work as well as detecting malware and has major issues with false positives. Unfortunately, if you install an old version of Zemana it will try to automatically download and install v3. Even if you cancel the download, it won’t let you run scans. So using a rebranded version such as MalwareFox, is the only way to use v2 based releases,
