How to Install and Use Bliss OS on Any Computer

Bliss OS is an Android based operating system. The latest version of Bliss OS uses Android 9.0 Pie codebase. It is designed to work with both the mobile systems as well as with desktop or laptop computers. Basically you can install Bliss OS on Android devices, Windows computers, Macbooks and Chromebooks as well. If you have never used Android Pie, then you can use Bliss OS to try it out on your PC.

Bliss OS is distributed as ROMs for flashing to Android devices and as ISO images for trying it on desktop computers. The ISO version is Live disk image which means that you can try it without installing. So here is how you can you try or install Bliss OS on any desktop or notebook computer.

Method 1: Dual-boot installation for Windows computers with UEFI support, no data is erased.

  1. Download Bliss OS ISO image from https://blissroms.com/.
  2. Install 7-Zip in your Windows PC.
  3. Right-click on the downloaded ISO file, select 7-Zip and then Open Archive.
  4. Extract Androidx86-Installv26.0003.exe from the ISO file to Windows desktop. Double-click on this extracted file to launch the installer.
  5. In the installer, select the ISO file (the one you downloaded in step 1), select target drive (C:), select storage capacity (8GB) and click on the Install button.
  6. A few seconds later, installation will be finished. Now you can reboot Windows and select Bliss OS from boot menu.

Method 2: Installation on entire hard drive, all data will be erased.

Note: The following steps are for installing on the entire hard drive. It will erase everything on your hard drive. Please make a backup of all the important files before proceeding.
  1. Download Bliss OS ISO image from https://blissroms.com/.
  2. Burn the ISO to a blank DVD using ImgBurn or create a bootable USB drive using Rufus. Boot into your computer using the bootable DVD/USB drive.
  3. Select Advanced options from the menu, followed by Auto installation.
  4. Select Yes when asked to proceed with erasing of all data on the hard drive. Wait for a few seconds and it is all done. Now you can select to Run Bliss-OS from the options displayed on your screen.
  5. Pretty soon you will see Bliss logo and then you have to pick options for the launcher app – Quickstep for the mobile devices such as your tablet and Taskbar for  your desktop computers. With the Taskbar launcher you get a Windows taskbar style experience.

Bliss OS is not really meant for very old computers as it is based on Android Pie code which requires good performance from your hardware. For the same reason, you should avoid is if you want to try it on a low end Android device.
