Use Dr. Hardware to Check Windows 11 Compatibility

As we all know by now that Windows 11 has some special hardware requirements which must be fulfilled for installation of Windows 11 on a new PC. Similarly, if you want to upgrade your Windows 10 PC to Windows 11, then these basic requirements must be met.

Of these requirements, some of the most troublesome for the older computers are the secure boot and the trusted platform module (TPM). Some other requirements are a minimum of 4 GB RAM, 1 GHz 64-bit dual-core processor, a graphics card with support for DirectX 12, an HD ready screen etc.

You can check your computer manually to see if it meets all these requirements and whether you can upgrade to the new Windows 11. Alternatively, you can use the trusted Dr. Hardware software to check your hardware for you.

Dr. Hardware is a very trusted hardware information and benchmark software. It can scan your system and display all the hardware information about your system. In addition to the hardware, it can also analyze your system and show the information about all the installed software.

In the latest version of Dr. Hardware, we get a new feature called “Win 11 Check”. This feature scans your system hardware and compares it with the minimum requirements for installing Windows 11. In order to use this feature all you have to do is launch Dr. Hardware and switch to the “Win 11 Check” section which is displayed under the “Windows” tab.

It will show your hardware, compare it with the minimum requirement and then show if it has passed the check or not. If it has passed the test, then a green colored OK will be displayed against it otherwise it will show a red colored cross-out mark.

According to the developer, the test for checking the Windows 11 requirements is based on the Microsoft’s website information. But this information can change and might vary depending on the Windows 11 version and editions.
