mwClipboard : Simple Clipboard Manager for Windows PC

The Clipboard is a temporary storage area in a computer’s memory where data that has been cut or copied from a document or other application is kept. This data can then be pasted to a new location. The Clipboard can hold a variety of data types, including text, images, files, and other formats.

Clipboard feature is present in all the popular operating systems as it has been essential for working with the file system. Back in the old days, Clipboard used to be very simple and offered only copy, paste, and cut operations. But starting with the Windows 10 version 1809, a Clipboard history feature has been added too.

But if you are finding the Windows clipboard not good enough for your needs, then you can try an open-source clipboard manager called mwClipboard. It is a simple clipboard manager for Windows computers. It uses a number of hotkeys to offer the user all the functionalities.

After the installation of mwClipboard, we can find its icon in the notification area of the Windows desktop. We can click on this icon to view a list of all the clips saved in the mwClipboard. We can add new clips, edit existing clips, reset the clip list, and view the available hotkeys. In the list of the clips, we can select one or more clips and choose to paste them in the open applications.

We can right-click on the mwClipboard icon in the notification area and choose to suspend the hotkeys. We can also pause the script, or exit the mwClipboard altogether. Whenever the clipboard content in mwClipboard changes, it plays a sound to indicate the changes.
