Sometimes when installing software, some extra items like toolbars and other plugins get installed in Mozilla Firefox. For example, when installing CCleaner, you may get Yahoo! toolbar installed. But you can always remove these toolbars and plugins from Firefox easily. Here is how :
- Open Mozilla Firefox browser from a shortcut on your Desktop, Quick Launch or Start Menu.
- In Firefox, select Tools → Addons from the menu.
- Click on Extensions and then select a toolbar or add-on you want to remove. Click on Uninstall button to uninstall it. Restart Firefox and its gone! If you click on Disable instead of Uninstall, the add-on will not be removed from your computer but Firefox would disable it and it will not be used.
You can also disable a plugin like Adobe Flash in the similar way. Instead of Extensions tab, select Plugins. Choose the plugin you want to disable, click on Disable and restart Firefox.
