Remove a language from Windows Vista

If you have Windows Vista with MUI language DVD, then no matter which language you select at the time of setup, other languages will be installed on your folder. This creates a mess on your hard disk. For example, I have an English + Russian Vista DVD and even if I choose English at the time of setup, it still installs Russian language pack. You can see ru-Ru folders all over the hard disk. Good thing is you can get rid of these extra languages by removing those languages from the Control Panel by following these steps :

  1. Open Start Menu → Control Panel.
  2. In Control Panel, click on Clock, Language and Region then click on Install or uninstall display languages under the category Regional and Language options.
