Set Windows to update automatically

Microsoft releases updates to Microsoft Windows on the first Tuesday of every month. If you have not set up your Windows to update automatically, then your computer may be lacking some critical hotfix. This can make your system vulnerable to hacking attacks or malware infections. You should set your computer to update automatically. This is how

  1. Choose Start → Control Panel
  2. Click System and Security
  3. Choose a time to start the update when your computer is turned on and connected to the internet.
  4. Click OK to save the settings.
