When you open folders in Windows Vista, you can see thumbnails of various files including the media files. But if you enable the preview pane in folders in Windows Vista, then you can see the larger preview of a selected file in this pane. This is how :
- Open any folder in Windows Vista.
- In the folder, from the menubar select Organize → Layout → Preview Pane as shown,
- You will immediately see the preview pane on the right side. Now if you click on a file, its preview will be shown in this preview pane.
This will change the settings for that folder only. You can set the preview pane by apply the current folder’s settings for all folders. Read this article on how to apply settings to all folders.
