Mozilla Firefox offers a find toolbar at the bottom of the browser when you press the find keyboard shortcut Ctrl + F. Using this find bar, you can search for text on a web page. But you can extend the functionality of Firefox’s finding ability by installing the Find All add-on. Here is how :
- Visit https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/7299/ in your Firefox browser.
- Click on the big green button labeled Add to Firefox as shown,
- Click on the Install button when asked,
- Restart Firefox to finish the installation.
After the installation of the Find All add-on and restarting the Firefox browser, you are ready to scan files and web sites. Just find a text in the usual way — press the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + F, then type the text to find. When you press Enter after typing the search terms, a list of result pops up. Clicking on a search result, will take you to the point in the web page where that result was found.
You can modify the options for this add-on from Tools → Add-ons. You can choose the results list highlight color, whether to show an Highlight All button (which will toggle the highlighting of every instance of your search phrase) in the find bar and more.
