Windows Vista has improved and better Windows Explorer offering many new task features like preview and filters. If you do not like these features, you can choose to use the older classic style of folders without the preview and filters bar. Here is how :
- Open Windows Explorer.
- From the toolbar, select Organize → Folder and search options to open the Folder Options window.
- Select the General tab if not previously selected.
- Choose Use Windows classic folders as shown,
- Click OK to save the settings.
