Though Windows 7 comes with few standard fonts pre-installed, yet they may not fulfill your requirements. You can always download more fonts from web sites like fontspace.com and fontstock.com if you think you need more fonts for your documents. Once you have the new font, you have to install it in Windows so you can use it. This is how :
- Right-click on the font file (.TTF file or .OTF file) and choose Install as shown :
- If you have already installed the font previously, then it would ask you if you want to replace the font. Choose an appropriate action. If you choose Yes the older font file will be replaced with the new one. If you choose No, then nothing would happen.
- You would see a progress window saying that it is installing the font. When the progress is over your font is installed and ready to use.
- After your font is installed, you can use it in any program you want.
