WPanorama : View Panorama Images Interactively

Earlier, we discussed about free software Hugin which can be used to easily create beautiful panoramas by stitching together many digital images together. You can view this panorama image using your favorite image viewer like IrfanView etc. But there is a specialized program called WPanorama using which you can view panoramas in a interactive manner.

WPanorama is an image viewer, specially designed for panorama pictures. It displays the images by scrolling them horizontally or vertically on the screen, and can also run in full-screen or screensaver mode with additional options. It supports 360 degree scrolling, as well as back and forth scrolling with adjustable scroll speeds, mirror mode and more. Furthermore, you can create AVI and BMP export, background music, panorama shows and more. Here are some of the noticeable features of WPanorama :

  • Complete 360 degree continuous scrolling horizontally
  • Full screen view
  • Mini slide show
  • Back and forth scrolling for non 360 degrees pictures
  • Mirror function for special interesting effects
  • Vertical scroll in addition to the horizontal one
  • Miscellaneous stretch filters
  • Variable scroll increment and speed

When you install the software, it installs both the Image Viewer program and the Windows Screen Saver. You can use the screen saver like usual to start displaying panorama images on your computer. The most interesting thing about WPanorama is that it can convert your panorama images into videos. You can set the scroll speed and direction and export the panoramas into AVI movies. You can also include music (.MID, .MP3 or .WAV files) with panoramas into the exported AVI files.
