Windows 8 BitLocker is a convenient way to protect your drives from the snooping eyes of other people. You can encrypt not only your hard disks but also the portable disk drives with BitLocker. Here is how you can change the BitLocker password for a protected disk in Windows 8:

  1. After you have unlocked a BitLocker protected disk in Windows, open Windows Explorer using the hotkey Win + E. Right-click on the target disk drive in Windows Explorer and select Change BitLocker password.
