Facebook is the most popular social networking sites. Billions of people use it everyday to connect with each other through comments, pictures and videos. Owing to the immense popularity of Facebook, many commercial companies, institutes and organizations have also setup their Facebook pages in order to connect with their community or customers. If you also love Facebook, then how about applying some custom themes to make it look pretty? The Facebook Themes Gallery extension for Google Chrome lets you apply themes to your Facebook page instantly. It has many pre-built themes ready for your use.
You can download and install the Facebook Themes Gallery extension from its Chrome Webstore webpage. After the installation is done, you are required to install some of themes before you can use them. To install a theme, you have to open the Chrome extensions page (by typing chrome://extensions/ in the location bar) and then click on the Options link in front of the Facebook Themes Gallery extension. Alternatively, you can also click on the Themes in the upper-right corner of your Facebook page.
In the page that opens up, select Explore to see a gallery of installable themes. There are over fifty different themes to choose from. There are themes like Hello Kitty, Assassin’s Creed, Manchester United, Transformers, The Simpsons, and more. To install a theme simply click on the Install button under its thumbnail. The button status changes to Installed to indicate that the theme has been installed.
After installing the themes, click on the Installed to view the themes that you have installed. Here you would see that all the installed themes have been enabled. You have to enable only one theme and disable the rest of them. If you enable more than one themes then all the enabled themes are loaded on the Facebook page, giving a very messy look. To disable a theme you can click on the Disable button and to enable a theme click on the Enable button. You can also delete a theme by clicking on the Delete button.
Once you have installed the themes and enabled only one theme (although enabling more than one theme also works but results are not pretty), you can just visit the Facebook website and you would see a new pretty Facebook decorated by the theme you have used. In the following screenshot, I am using the Hello Kitty theme and the Facebook site is looking just adorable.
