Starting with version 21 of Firefox web browser, Mozilla has introduced a new Health Report feature. This health report shows you the health of your web browser, for example, how many plugins and extensions are enabled, how many links you have bookmarked, for how long you have been running Firefox etc. By default, Firefox shares all this data of yours with Mozilla. We are already sharing too much personal information online, we do not want even more data sharing. So if you want to disable the data sharing of health report feature in Firefox, then you can follow these simple steps :
- Open your Firefox web browser and type about:healthreport in the location bar and press Enter. Alternatively, you can also click on the orange Firefox button on the top-left corner and select Help → Firefox Health Report from the menu.
- This would open the Firefox Health Report in a new tab. The report shows performance statistics for your browser including your browser version, last time your browser crashed, the startup time delay for past week and so on. On the top-right corner you would see the Data Sharing status to be ON. Click on this green colored Data Sharing checkmark to turn it off.
- After this you would see that the data sharing status in Firefox Health Report is showing to be turned off. Now your web browser usage data will not be shared with Mozilla.
