If you install too many extensions in the Google Chrome web browser, then their toolbar icons may get hidden in order to save space for the location bar. The hidden icons are shown in form of a drop-down menu if you click on the right-arrow next to the location bar. If you do not like these hidden icons, then you can display the icons in the toolbar once again using the following steps :
- Open Google Chrome web browser. If the browser window opens in the maximized state, then try minimizing it. The minimized window shortens the omnibar length and shows the extension icons in the hidden mode.
- Hover your mouse cursor close to the right-edge of the location bar. When the cursor changes into a double-arrow cursor, click and drag to the left. This would reduce the length of the location bar.
- As the length of the location bar is reduced the space available for the extension icons increases and they are all displayed right on the toolbar. You can increase or decrease the location bar length depending on how many icons you want to display in the toolbar.
If at any later stage you need more space for the location bar, then you can reverse the steps above – this time dragging the right-edge of the location bar towards the right side. This would hide all the extension icons once again and extend your location bar size to the maximum possible length.
