DrawPad : Free Graphics Editor for Windows

NCH Software’s DrawPad is an excellent graphics editor for Windows. It is a great tool to have when you want to create new graphics images or modify existing pictures. It is able to edit the pictures of various formats such as JPEG, PNG, BMP, GIF, SVG, TIFF etc. It integrates with the system so that you can right-click on any of the supported image file types to open them in DrawPad to edit or modify them.

DrawPad combines many different image editing tools together to create a well balanced image editor. It works with both the raster and vector image types. It packs the usual tools like pencil, brush, marker, spray paint, resize canvas, resize image etc. But it also adds some tools that are not usually found in graphics suites like the curved text tool that can add text along a curved line drawn by you.

Just like InkPad which is known for vector image designs, DrawPad Graphic Editor can also be used to create new graphic designs – for example, advertised banners, sketch sketches, schemes, icons or invitations. But you can also process your pictures taken by digital camera and add text or fine tune the image by adjusting the color, contrast and saturation.

DrawPad

Like the giants of graphic editing such as GIMP, Paint.net and Adobe Photoshop, DrawPad also features layers based editing which means that all of your modifications are done on separate layers. You can remove a layer to remove all the changes made to the graphics file. If you have worked with GIMP before, then you will find DrawPad very familiar to work with.

DrawPad Graphic Editor from NCH Software is free for personal home use, but if you want to use it for commercial purposes then you will have to buy a license worth $24.95 that works for a single PC for unlimited use.
