When I was a student in high school, I often carried a French-to-English dictionary with me. This is when I was trying to learn the French language. Anytime I encountered a new French word, I could look up the word in my small dictionary even though it did not contain all the words.
Now things have become very easy for those people who are either eager to learn a new language or just want to understand what is written on a webpage in a foreign language. This is because of a number of smartphone apps and web browser extensions have been made available in the recent years. Rememberry for Chrome web browser is such an extension that helps the user translate anything on a webpage into a language of your choice.
Using Rememberry, we can translate any word or phrase by just selecting and then clicking on the Rememberry icon. For example, if you are reading news on Le Monde which is a very popular French newspaper, you can click on any word and its translation will be shown on your screen. The translation or rather definition of that word is displayed in a manner that resembles looking up a dictionary.
Another way we can translate any word or phrase using Rememberry is by selecting it, right-clicking on the selection and then choosing Translate with Rememberry . When looking up the translation, we can place a checkmark in the translated text and click on the small save icon to add it to flash cards.
These flash cards can then be used to practice and memorize the new foreign language words that we have learned through Rememberry translations. For starting a quiz using these flash cards, you can click on the Rememberry icon in the toolbar and then click on the Start button.
The flash cards display the foreign language word or phrase but hide the translation. You have to think and remember the translation from your own memory. You can see and check the translation stored in the flash card later. This way you can add to your foreign language vocabulary everyday.
