How to Clear Cookies and Cache for Just a Single Website

So many times we come across the situations when we want to clear the browser cache, history and cookies but only for a single website. We do not want to clear the cookies and browser cache belonging to all the websites because we have some of the cookies containing the login status. If we clear all the cookies from the web browser, we will have to login to all the websites all over again.  This is not something that we want. However, we want to clear the cookies and cache belonging to just one website or maybe a small number of websites.

In the Firefox web browser, it is very easy to clear the cookies and the browser cache belonging to just a single website. Here is how it is done:

  1. Launch Firefox web browser and visit the website for which you want to clear the cookies and site data.
  2. Click on the website icon being displayed in the address bar of the web browser and select Clear cookies and site data…Clear Cookies for a single site
  3. You will see a small  prompt asking if you want to remove the cookies and the browser cache belonging to the selected domain name. It warns you that clearing the cookies will log you out from that website (if you have logged in those websites before).Clear Cookies for a single site
  4. You can now refresh the website and you will see that it will load fresh from its remote web server.

This same process can be repeated all over again for any number of websites. As far as cookies are concerned, we can also use an add-on called Cookie Quick Manager using which we can search and remove the cookies for any domain easily. Similarly, we can search for the history for any domain from the History Manager built inside the Firefox web browser and remove it.
