Pachtop : Monitor System Resources on Windows PC

Pachtop is a system resources monitor application for the desktop computers. It supports all the popular desktop platforms such as Windows, Linux, and macOS.

Instead of going through your computer’s system settings and trying to find some of the basic information, you can use Pachtop to determine the system information in real-time. This tool displays the system information for your computer in a graphical format.

The dashboard of the Pachtop displays the CPU usage, RAM memory usage, SWAP memory usage, the storage drive usage, and the network bandwidth being used. All of this information is displayed in the current time and is updated in real time.

Under the “Disks” category, we can see all of the storage drives installed on the computer. It includes the hard disk drives, solid state drives, and more. It displays the charts of the drive usage with time. We can see how much data was written or read at a particular time in the day.

Pachtop

The application has a “Processes” section under which it shows all the running processes on your system. This list is updated in real time. For all of the processes, it displays the process ID (PID), process name, CPU usage, memory usage, current state of that process, etc. It also gives the option to “Kill” the selected processes.

For the network data transfer of the computer, it shows a colorful chart of the data transfer with the time. We can zoom in the data of past 1 minute, 5 minutes, or 30 minutes. This is a useful tool to have if you are using one of the limited data connections.

Pachtop was designed using the Rust language. It is cross-platform and works on macOS, Linux, and Windows. The developer has a todo list that includes adding of GPU monitor, and battery monitor for the notebook computers.
