You ran Windows 7 update advisor on your computer and it says that your graphics card cannot run Aero – the glass like interface of Windows 7? Worry no more, if you could run it in Windows Vista, you can run Aero in Windows 7 no matter what it says. After installing Windows 7, follow these instructions :
- Press Windows Key + R key combination on your keyboard, to open the run dialog.
- This would start Registry Editor. In the Registry Editor navigate to the registry key:
- Create three values of names Animations, Blur, UseMachineCheck of type REG_DWORD (32-bit) by right clicking in the right pane and selecting New • DWORD (32-bit) Value; then type in the name of value and press Enter. By default all values are set to 0, leave them as it is.
- Exit Registry Editor and restart computer.
If you do not want to use Registry Editor for making changes your computer’s registry, then you can also download the Windows’ Registry entries file win7_force_aero.zip. After downloading this file, extract the contents to a folder. Double-click on win7_force_aero.reg to insert the registry entries.
