Display recent items in Windows 7

Older versions of windows, used to show Recent Documents under the Start Menu in which you could see recently opened files. Windows 7 has given it a new name : Recent Items. By default this is not shown in the Start Menu of Windows 7, but you can easily enable it. Here is how :

1. Right click on the Start Menu orb in Windows 7 and select Properties.
2. Click on the Customize button under the Start Menu tab as shown :

   

3. Scroll down and select Recent Items and click the OK button.

   

Now you can access recently opened documents (pictures, word documents etc) under the Start Menu.
