If you are connected over a network and are using your Windows 7 computer, you can share your libraries with other users on that network. Windows 7 allows you to share your libraries with either read only access or read/write access. Here is how :
- Open Windows Explorer.
- Select a library you want to share with other users on the network. In the following picture, we have selected the Pictures library.
- In the toolbar, click Share With and select Homegroup (Read) or Homegroup (Read/Write). If you select Homegroup (Read) then other users on the network would be given read only access. If you select Homegroup (Read/Write) then other users on the network would be given both read and write access to your files in the selected library.
If you want to un-share the library later, then follow the same steps and select Nobody from the menu.
