When you browse a web site in Mozilla Firefox 3.6 and scroll the page, the default web page scroll speed using the mousewheel is not very fast. If it is a very long page then you have to turn the mousewheel many times to scroll the whole page down. Fortunately, in Mozilla Firefox 3.6 you can adjust the scroll speed as explained in the following steps :
- Open Mozilla Firefox.
- Type about:config in the address bar and press Enter.
- Type acceleration in the Filter tab as shown below :
- Double click on mousewheel.acceleration.factor and type a value greater than 10 to increase the scrolling speed. This value means how much faster you want the page to scroll. The default value is 10.
- Double click on mousewheel.acceleration.start and type a value greater than -1 to enable acceleration. This value tells when the acceleration should start. If you make it 1 then, acceleration would start after you turn the wheel one time, and so on. The default value is -1.
