Windows 7 has a Windows Sidebar which has various gadgets inside it. By default, Windows 7 has no gadgets pre-added. You have to add the gadgets that you want. If you want to add gadgets to the Windows Sidebar then you can follow the steps given in this article.
- Right click anywhere in an empty space (where there is no icon) on the Windows Desktop and select Gadgets
Alternatively, you can also right-click on any gadget in the Windows Sidebar and select Add Gadgets,
- You would see a Desktop Gadget Gallery which shows a number of gadgets to choose from
- Double click on a gadget to add it to the sidebar. The selected gadget would immediately appear in the Windows Sidebar where you can change its settings.
