Add Macmillan dictionary search in Firefox

The Macmillan English dictionary is an award winning dictionary first published in the year 2002. If you want to add the Macmillan English dictionary search to your Mozilla Firefox searchbox, then you can add it easily. This would allow you to look up word definitions and the thesaurus in the Macmillan English dictionary for free. Here is how :

  1. Visit http://www.macmillandictionary.com/tools/toolbar.html in your Firefox browser.
  2. Click on the the Firefox button as shown in the picture below. You can choose to add from the British English dictionary or the American English dictionary.

  3. You would be able to see the Macmillan dictionary search added immediately to your Firefox search box as shown

Once you have Macmillan English dictionary search added, you can start using the online Macmillan dictionary. Just type a word or phrase, in the Macmillan English dictionary search box and press Enter. For example, I typed doppelganger and pressed Enter, here is what I got :

You can hear how the word is pronounced (spoken) by clicking on the button labeled Pronunciation and with a speaker icon. If you want to check the thesaurus for the selected word, just click on the small red T picture shown below each definition of the word.
