Using Aero Snap in Windows 7

Aero Snap is a new feature in Microsoft Windows 7. Aero Snap is available only if you have enabled Aero. Aero Snap allows you to quickly arrange the open windows. Here is how you can use Aero Snap in Windows 7 :

Aero Snap can be accessed by using a mouse or a keyboard. Using Aero Snap is a childs play. If you drag a window by holding it by its titlebar, to the top edge of your screen it maximizes. If you drag a window’s titlebar to the left edge of your screen, it docks to the left edge – consuming only half the screen. Similarly, if you drag a window’s titlebar to the right edge of your screen, it docks to the right edge of your screen – taking only half the screen.

You can also use keyboard shortcuts to do the same. If you press the key combination Windows logo key + Up Arrow, the active window is maximized. It is equivalent of dragging the titlebar of the window to the top edge of your screen. If you press the key combination Windows logo key + Left Arrow, the active window is docked to the left edge of your screen. If you press the key combination Windows logo key + Right Arrow, the active window is docked to the right edge of your screen. If you press the key combination Windows logo key + Down Arrow, the active window shows in the normal size.
