Windows Vista, like other versions of Windows, has a great feature called the Run command which is used to run any program or a command easily. Usually, this Run command dialog is accessed using the keyboard shortcut Windows logo key + R or from its Start Menu shortcut, but you can add a shortcut to the Desktop itself too. Here is how :
The Run command shortcut will appear on the Desktop as shown.
To add the Run command to your Windows Desktop, follow these instructions :
- First of all you have to add the Run command to the Start Menu.
- Click on the Start Menu button to open the Start Menu.
- Drag the Run command shortcut from the Start Menu to the Desktop as shown,
- That’s it. Now you have the Run dialog shortcut right on your Desktop.
