Windows has a nifty feature called the Run dialog which is used to run any application or a command easily. Usually, this Run dialog is accessed using the keyboard shortcut Windows logo key + R or from the Start Menu shortcut, but you can add a shortcut to the Windows taskbar too. Here is how :
- If you have set the Start Menu mode to classic, then set it back to the modern mode. To do so, right click on the Start Menu and choose Properties. Then choose Start Menu option and click OK.
- Click on the Start Menu button to open the Start Menu.
- Drag the Run shortcut from the Start Menu to the taskbar as shown,
- That’s it. Now you have the Run dialog shortcut right in your taskbar.
